These chucks are available with 2 Jaws, 3 jaws, 4 jaws and 6 jaws and are referred as STC-2, STC-3, STC-4 and STC-6 respectively. STC-3 chucks are most popular. STC-2 and STC-4 chucks are used when the job is square. STC-6 chucks are used to grip jobs having thin wall thickness. The gripping pressure is divided on six sides.
